We are seeking an experienced and motivated General Maintenance Technician 1 to join our team. In this high-impact role, you will support all facets of the Engineering Department for Arena Operations, while playing a key role in broader department initiatives.
Your Role on the Team
  • Assist with routine maintenance tasks including assisting various departmental trades, light repairs, and general property upkeep
  • Perform minor repairs in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and various trades, as needed
  • Assisting with painting, as needed, minor surface repairs with a neat, professional finish
  • Perform basic carpentry work including shelving installation, wood repairs, and furniture assembly
  • Assist with minor plumbing repairs such as leak fixes, drain unclogging, and faucet replacement
  • Support basic electrical tasks such as replacing light bulbs and troubleshooting minor issues (under supervision)
  • Complete minor flooring repairs
  • Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools
  • Support senior technicians on more complex repairs and special projects
  • Assist with event setups, installations, and coverage
  • Communicate professionally with team members and vendors, if applicable to daily workflow
  • Report maintenance concerns and safety issues promptly
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain clean, organized work areas

Your Skills and Experience
  • A strong willingness to learn and take initiative
  • Dependability and the ability to follow instructions while developing independent work skills
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and safety
  • Basic familiarity with hand and power tools
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
  • Physical capability to lift up to 50lbs and perform hands-on labor
  • Comfort working at heights (ladders) and in confined spaces
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-3 Yrs Experience with General Maintenance and Repair preferred
