About the Position

LocumJobsOnline is working with Wellhart, LLC to find a qualified Urgent Care PA in Midlothian, Virginia, 23113!

We are seeking an Urgent Care Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Virginia, starting Nov 23, 2026. The schedule involves 8a-8p shifts, focusing on a broad range of urgent care procedures including laceration repair, incision and drainage, foreign body removal, orthopedic stabilization, and diagnostic interpretation. This role offers an excellent opportunity to provide critical care within a dynamic healthcare setting.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform laceration repair: simple, intermediate, and complex suturing or stapling
  • Execute incision and drainage (I&D), including packing
  • Manage minor burns
  • Provide skin lesion care
  • Perform orthopedic and injury stabilization
  • Apply splinting and casting
  • Assist with joint reduction
  • Utilize diagnostic and point-of-care testing
  • Interpret point-of-care lab results, reviewing rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, and blood glucose testing
  • Manage epistaxis: anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery (silver nitrate) for nosebleeds
  • Provide airway support, including administration of nebulizer treatments and initial emergency stabilization
