Description

POSITION SUMMARY

This position performs a variety of duties to receive and ship materials for production and to supply areas with a continual supply of materials. Maintain accurate inventories of products, mainly Coil receiving and staging.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Use hand trucks, forklifts, hoists and other material handling equipment to receive, store and transport material.
  • Segregate rejected materials and follow established procedures for disposition of such materials.
  • Receive raw materials (Coils).
  • Assist in unloading trucks (Coils).
  • Check packing lists, BOL (Bill of landing) for accuracy.
  • Weigh material as required to ensure receipt of correct material.
  • Assign proper storage location and transport raw materials to assigned location.
  • Record location on packing slip for input into computer systems.
  • Stack materials ensuring segregation of type, weight, and size.
  • Ensure proper and safe storage of material.
  • Maintain accurate inventory of raw material.
  • Use a forklift or hand trucks within the finished goods warehouse; and, internal and external location, as necessary.
  • Assist in the packaging and palletizing of finished goods.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations. Ensure proper housekeeping of work areas.
  • Adhere to all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements and follow all safety processes and protocols.

.EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; minimum 1 year of manufacturing work environment preferably
  • Microsoft Office experience preferred (Job requires basic use of Excel)
  • Team player, dedicated to overall company performance and the ability to get along with others
  • Self-motivated with enthusiasm and drive; able to work independently as needed
  • Reliable attendance on-site required
  • Ability to work various shifts if needed, to support a 24/7 operation
  • Must be at least 18 years or older

Requirements

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • Occasionally required to sit.
  • Close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus is required
  • Regularly required to work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes and airborne particles
  • Regularly exposed to extreme noise from operating equipment, experiencing some vibration
  • Ability to occasionally lift 35lbs.
  • Ability to communicate and listen
  • Ability to reach to use tools and equipment
  • Ability to manipulate and feel small parts for inspection
  • Ability to inspect small parts visually and through use of magnifying equipment and to perceive depth to set up equipment
