The Role
AMCR Institute is looking for Research Assistants to assist coordinators in clinical research protocols. These individuals will work directly with the coordinators, investigators, and other research staff to ensure clinical trial patient visits are being completed in accordance with protocol guidelines.
Position Type: PRN/Per-Diem
Pay Range: $20 - $25/hr
Location: Escondido, CA (no capabilities for remote or hybrid)
Travel: 0%
Work Schedule: Shifts vary from 4-8 hours between the hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Responsibilities:
  • Provide services including administration of medications, as directed by the physicians
  • Ensure safety and welfare of each research participant
  • Check vital signs and record daily information in the participant's chart
  • Collect and prepare laboratory specimens
  • Perform basic laboratory tests to include urine pregnancy test and urine drug tests
  • Perform lab draws
  • Perform ECGs
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation related to research participants
  • Provide status updates and communicate with team related to research participants

Requirements:
  • Certified Medical Assistant in California preferred
  • Current and valid California Phlebotomy License preferred
  • Minimum 1 year experience in medical field or clinical research
  • Intermediate to advanced computer and phone skills
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

California Pay Range
$20-$25 USD
