This position is located in Region I Division of Reactor Safety.

This position is not subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements.Qualifications:In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Examples of specialized experience include:
For GG-8: Experience which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform a wide range of administrative duties such as: Skill in operating computer equipment sufficient to prepare correspondence, memoranda, presentations, and reports in final form. Ability to organize the flow of administrative work, to maintain and organize an adequate filing system, and to locate and assemble material for reports and meetings. Ability to handle multiple, time sensitive tasks. Familiarity with administrative policies and procedures to properly prepare correspondence, respond to inquiries of a routine and non-routine nature, record minutes of meetings and conferences, and respond to phone calls and inquiries.
For GG-9: Experience initiating, coordinating, monitoring, reviewing, and/or processing into final licensing actions or other related documents and communications ensuring compliance with non-technical administrative aspects of NRC rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to the licensing process. This work was performed under close or general supervision.
For GG-10: Experience initiating, coordinating, monitoring, reviewing, and/or processing into final action licensing actions, Technical Specifications, or other related documents and communications ensuring compliance with non-technical administrative aspects of NRC rules, regulations, and procedures applicable to the licensing process. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  1. Knowledge of regulations and rules associated with a licensing program and the ability to administratively review, edit and process all associated documents required.
  2. Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing to deal tactfully, efficiently, and professionally with all levels of staff.
  3. Ability to work efficiently in handling multiple assignments with competing priorities, often under considerable pressure to meet deadlines.
  4. Knowledge of and proficiency in using computer systems, office tracking systems, and ability to analyze and implement procedures to manage correspondence and information through automated means.
