Job description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Production Operator I will report directly to the Plant Manager or their designee and is responsible for performing a variety of production tasks including blending and packaging of various finished products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weigh, blend, and package materials in bags, supersacks, and shipping bins
  • Load and unload raw materials and finished goods
  • Sample raw materials for quality assurance
  • Submit daily production records
  • Operate a forklift
  • Operate a wheel loader
  • Operate a compact track loader/skid steer
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Comply with all safety and operating procedures
  • Assist with maintenance of plant components and mobile equipment
  • Other duties, as assigned by Management

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or related experience and /or training
  • Forklift experience
  • Wheel loader operating experience
  • Skid Steer loader operating experience
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Previous experience in production /manufacturing environment
  • Ability to work in a team as well as independently
