Pay: $27.00 – $36.00/hr (includes $2.00/hr night differential)

Schedule: Night Shift | 5:45 PM – 6:00 AM | 12-Hour 2-2-3 Rotation

Randstad has partnered with a premier Kansas City printing facility seeking an experienced Flexo Press Operator. Work just 14 days a month with built-in overtime and alternating 3-day weekends off!

Responsibilities

• Press Operations: Set up, run, and maintain flexographic presses (wide-web preferred) with tight registration, proper ink viscosity, and minimal scrap.

• Leadership: Guide and assist your Press Assistant (Operator 1) to keep production running smoothly during shifts and breaks.

• Quality Control: Review specs, verify stock, and perform roll-to-roll checks against proofs.

• Maintenance & Safety: Perform routine adjustments during make-readies/changeovers and maintain a clean, safe workspace.

Qualifications

• 2+ years operating flexographic presses (wide or narrow web).

• Mechanical skills, blueprint reading, and pressroom math.

• Physical ability to stand for 12-hour shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and wear steel-toe boots.

Responsibilities

• Drive Press Excellence: Set up, start up, and operate Wide-Web Flexographic presses with a focus on maximizing run times and minimizing scrap.

• Lead & Mentor: Guide, train, and assist your Press Operator 1 (Assistant) to ensure the team is aligned, breaks are coordinated, and the press keeps rolling.

• Quality Champion: Review work instructions, verify materials, and perform strict roll-to-roll quality checks to match the approved sample perfectly.

• Maintain & Troubleshoot: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and collaborate with the Maintenance team for quick repairs.

• Safety & Environment: Keep a spotless workspace and ensure the safe handling/documentation of inks, solvents, and hazardous waste according to company guidelines.
