Job description

DESCRIPTION
Overview
Assistant Operations Leaders are responsible for assisting Operations Leaders in all areas of the business. They lead shifts, lead breaks, manage labor and food cost, ensure food safety, ensure food quality, ensure excellence in service, ensure restaurant and property cleanliness, and drive continual evaluation, coaching, and encouragement of Shift Leaders and Team Members. Assistant Operations Leaders also have the responsibility of assisting in making the Purpose, Vision and Mission of the Owner a reality and serving as front-line ambassadors of Second Mile Service.
Qualifications / Skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead shifts and drive consistent standards under pressure
• Strong judgment, professionalism, emotional intelligence and ability to model Chick-fil-A standards
• Strong coaching, communication, and accountability skills (including corrective conversations)
• Ability to manage labor and food cost levers in real time
• Strong service/hospitality orientation and ability to reinforce Second Mile Service expectations
• Problem-solving skills to identify recurring issues and contribute to practical improvements
• Reliability and follow-through on assigned responsibilities and projects
REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be available to support opening, closing, peak periods, weekends, and holidays as required based on business needs
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods; work in variable temperature environments; ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • On-site role requiring significant presence during operating hours to lead shifts, model standards, coach Team Members, and reinforce Second Mile Service
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
