Description

SUMMARY

The Catering Operations Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily shift operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant service delivery. This role directly supervises frontline employees and leads, supports operational execution, and ensures all work is completed in accordance with company, airline, and regulatory standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise daily activities of Catering Transport Drivers, Leads, and operational staff
  • Provide direction, support, and real-time problem resolution during shifts
  • Monitor employee performance and provide coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed
  • Assist with training and onboarding of new employees
  • Promote a safety-first culture and ensure adherence to company policies
  • Oversee aircraft servicing and ensure on-time, accurate, and safe operations
  • Coordinate shift activities to meet operational demands and service expectations
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with airline SOPs and SLAs
  • Support scheduling execution and ensure proper staffing levels during shifts
  • Step in and perform operational duties as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, operational, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor use of PPE and adherence to safety procedures
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of required documentation (DFRs, catering logs, vehicle inspections)
  • Report and elevate operational or safety concerns
  • Support incident reporting and ensure timely documentation (e.g.,GPET)
  • Monitor operational performance and address service gaps in real time
  • Conduct routine checks and audits to ensure compliance and quality standards
  • Communicate operational updates, delays, and issues to leadership
  • Support continuous improvement efforts within the operation
  • Assist with shift scheduling and labor coordination
  • Support tracking of attendance, productivity, and performance metrics
  • Participate in team meetings and operational briefings
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • 1โ€“3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Valid driverโ€™s license (in good standing)
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain all required airport, security, and regulatory clearances applicable to the location (e.g., TSA, FAA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, U.S. Postal Service, RAIC)
  • Ability to operate ground service equipment (catering trucks, forklifts, etc.)
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must successfully complete all required training and certifications
