Job Description
Grace is seeking an Electrical and Instrumentation Technician for our South Haven Site. This position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. Will pay for expereince. Day position.
The E&I Technician at Grace provides engineering with design parameters, standardizes specifications for instrumentation, procures instrumentation components and performs qualification procedures for new instrumentation installations. This position is responsible for calibration, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and servicing of all facility including instrumentation, scales and electrical control systems with the exception of laboratory analytical equipment. Assists other E&I Technicians and Maintenance Technicians during breakdown situations. #Indeed, #Grace
Responsibilities
  • Perform monthly calibration procedure for temperature/pressure indicators, speed indicators level switches and other site instrumentation and document accordingly.
  • Maintain facility electrical systems - troubleshooting and repair of existing systems with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in developing electrical and instrumentation Preventive Maintenance (PM) instructions.
  • Perform documentation function associated with work performed - filing of installation and maintenance manuals and completing work orders.

Physical Requirements and Environment
  • Ability to work in a high hazard environment, including adverse weather conditions, elevated spaces, confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and noisy surroundings.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb stairs and ladders over 100 ft.
  • Must be willing to wear PPE (Personal Protective equipment) including but not limited to hard hat, protective eyewear, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, Level A suit, full face respirator

Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Must be able to pass background and drug test.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial electrical work.
  • Instrumentation and calibration experience a plus.
  • Current State of Michigan Electrical Journeyman card.
