CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking an Entry Level Gas Engineer to join our Gas Team in Norwell, MA. In this role, you will assist in delivering engineering solutions that support resilient gas infrastructure, gaining exposure to design, analysis, and project execution. This is your opportunity to develop your career while making a tangible impact on the communities we serve.


  • Assist in the design, development, and implementation of technical solutions for crucial transmission and distribution infrastructure for gas utilities
  • Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, contract documents, and cost estimates
  • Perform calculations and design tasks using industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and best practices for optimizing installation, maintenance, and system reliability
  • Join field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in assessment, planning, and rehabilitation of gas pipelines and related infrastructure

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering required
  • No experience required; however prior internships and/or relevant coursework are preferred
  • Strong theoretical foundation and familiarity with engineering software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
  • Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
