About the Role:

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Senior Suites, SS plays a vital role in supporting the rehabilitation and well-being of our senior residents. This position involves working closely under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to implement therapeutic activities that enhance patients' daily living skills and promote independence. The OTA will contribute to personalized care plans by assisting with assessments, documenting progress, and adapting interventions to meet individual needs. Through compassionate interaction and skilled therapeutic techniques, the OTA helps improve physical, cognitive, and emotional functioning of residents. Ultimately, this role is essential in fostering a supportive environment that encourages recovery, safety, and quality of life for our senior community.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
  • Current and valid state licensure or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Basic life support (BLS) certification.
  • Strong understanding of therapeutic techniques and rehabilitation principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with geriatric or senior populations in a clinical or residential setting.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and documentation software.
