Job Summary:
Spark Tek Inc is seeking a highly motivated Network Engineer who demonstrates strong commitment to operational excellence and possesses technical proficiency in networking. The role involves leading efforts in network security, high availability, and upholding standards while managing various networking tasks and ensuring compliance.
Responsibilities:
• Mapping of in use ports and services
• Cisco network device configuration and management
• Network discovery
• Routing and switching protocols
• Network security and access control
• Connectivity troubleshooting, packet analysis
• Network performance monitoring and optimization
• IOS Patching and upgrade management
• Work with others to establish an approved list of ports and services that are in use throughout the network
• Additionally assist other upgrade efforts on existing infrastructure equipment to support applications and cyber security growth
• Identify any weakness in current local and remote site design where security and availability of infrastructure can be impacted
• Document and exercise disaster recovery plan
• Support cyber security and applications related projects on networking needs
• Create documentation and procedures for day to day and major tasks as needed
• Switches and router upgrade
• Deploy new infrastructure to support growth
• Review, adjust and document configuration to meet standards
• Review and improve health and performance monitoring
• Manage patching and IOS upgrade
• Manage all CIP compliance related tasks on networking equipment
• Manage and supervise vendor work
• Map and document network connections
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong commitment to operational excellence

• Bachelor's degree (preferably in Information Technology)
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in IT Support
• Ability to lift/transport server equipment when needed
• Ability to provide off-hour, on-call support for network and security related issues
• Willingness to work overtime and be flexible with work hours
• Means and ability to travel to various Company locations
• Valid driver's license
• In-person requirements for this job
• Passing of NERC CIP Personnel Risk Assessment background check
