  • You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the UNIFIED ATLANTIC REGION NETWORK OPERATIONS CENTER (UARNOC), OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT at NAVAL COMPUTER AND TELECOMMUNICATIONS AREA MASTER STATION ATLANTIC (NCTAMSLANT).
  • You will advise and assist personnel in the proper operation of various complex network systems.
  • You will monitor and assist network operators in the performance of fault management on the systems and networks in order to reduce down time or outages relevant to mission performance.
  • You will coordinate with the divisional military supervisors in developing and maintaining technical and operational policy concerning personnel management to ensure adequate qualified manning.
  • You will gather data, analyzes, identify fault isolations and repairs.
  • You will manage capacity planning and prediction modeling to include resource utilization to ensure that sufficient capacity exists and is available.
  • You will interpret or develop policy, instructions and provide authoritative guidance.

Qualifications

Experience demonstrating this competency include: Providing technical and operational assistance to the fleet in support of the IT21 global networking infrastructure.
3. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Permanent and term employees currently serving in a probationary period in the competitive service or a probationary or trial period in the excepted service will complete the period as prescribed in their original conditions of employment in the new CES position if they transfer without a break in service or are promoted, demoted, or reassigned to a CES position.
This position is subject to an initial drug screening, and random testing thereafter. A negative drug test result must be received by HR within 30 calendar days after the EOD (i.e., start date).
