Job Summary:
Independent Software, Inc. is seeking a Network Engineer Level 1 to support the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure. The role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring efficient and secure operation of network systems.
Responsibilities:
• Provide support to Network Administrators and System Administrators
• Monitor network performance and assist with troubleshooting connectivity issues
• Support day-to-day network operations, including routers, switches, and network devices
• Assist with network configuration, upgrades, and maintenance activities
• Support network defense operations and basic security practices
• Contribute to improving system performance and reliability
• Assist in automating network administration tasks where applicable
• Support documentation of network configurations and procedures
• Provide input to network design and architecture efforts
• Assist in implementing and maintaining network infrastructure
Qualifications:
Required:
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
• Familiarity with network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience troubleshooting basic network connectivity issues
• Understanding of network security fundamentals
• Ability to follow technical procedures and documentation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Must possess an active TS SCI with appropriate Polygraph to be considered for this role
