WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
  • Plan and manage on-site installations to ensure timely completion, high quality of service, and cost-effective management of labor and installation resources.
  • Lead the installation team for each project by supervising budget, quality, personnel, customer service, and administration.
  • Assist in training, developing, and leading Continua installers and sub-contracted installers.
  • Instill Continua's service philosophy and core values throughout the installation group.
  • Understand the scope of work, including account servicing, design and order preparation, order management, factory interface, delivery and installation, and project management.
  • Accept accountability for project success (cost, completion, schedule adherence, punch-list, customer satisfaction, job site appearance and cleanliness, etc.).
  • Support operations department management team in developing and implementing department procedures, work practices, standards of performance, etc.
  • Understand department economics and cost accounting; assist in the development of installation personnel.
  • React to varying project/field conditions and demonstrate ability to make decisions and solve problems in the scope of work.
  • Maintain detailed and complete administrative records of installation project work, including time sheets, receiving documentation, change orders, product returns, etc.
  • Communicate and document project status, changes, problems, and punch-list to appropriate parties (dispatch, sales personnel, sales support, project management personnel, etc.).
  • Conduct comprehensive site reviews and pre-installation meetings and reviews. Participate in construction/project meetings as a representative of dealer.
  • Review work order documentation the day before the scheduled installation.
  • Maintain professionalism with crew, customers, and dealership personnel, both in appearance and social interactions.

WHAT YOU SHOULD HAVE:
  • Physical strength and stamina to lift and move furniture, boxes and equipment, often in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to set daily performance goals and expectations of crew.
  • Strong work ethic and ethical approach to the business.
  • Punctuality and self-motivation.
  • Ability to occasionally work irregular hours and extended shifts including overnight and out of town assignments.
  • Experience with planning, organizing, and effectively directing a crew of installers on small to large projects (crews of 25 or more).
  • Experience supervising and managing large and/or complex installation projects (100 plus workstations, complex reconfigurations, etc.).
  • Excellent material handling and logistics skills.
  • Ability to analyze and develop detailed work plans and price quotations for installation projects.
  • Comfortability with safely driving a 26' straight or cube truck.
  • Good driving record and adherence to all DOT rules and regulations.
  • Understanding of interior design and construction processes; ability to read construction and furniture drawings and blueprints.
  • Mechanical aptitude and excellent installation technical abilities; proficiency with tools and equipment; excellent at custom applications; finished installations are of high quality.
  • Product knowledge across all lines of furniture carried by dealership; ability to figure out installation of new lines through analysis and extrapolation.
  • Ability to specify products using full product nomenclature; ability to do small layouts and reconfigurations without relying on designers or sales staff.
  • Knowledgeable of electricity, electrical hookups to building power, data and voice cabling, basic furniture codes, and other technical installation issues.
  • Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee may occasionally lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. This position may require travel between offices, jobsites, and/or client locations, which may involve extended periods of sitting or standing, lifting light luggage, and adapting to different time zones.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
The hiring compensation range for this position is an hourly rate of $24.00-$27.64/hour. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, skills, qualifications, and location, as well as internal equity and market considerations.

HOURS:
This is a full-time position. Standard work schedule is Monday-Friday, with occasional weekend work as needed.
