Core Responsibilities

• Installation: Run, pull, and route new cables (CAT5e, CAT6, coax, or fiber) through walls, ceilings, and commercial pathways like J-hooks and cable trays.
• Termination: Connect wires into jacks, patch panels, and connectors following industry wiring standards.
• Equipment Setup: Install and activate devices like routers, modems, digital cable boxes, and Wi-Fi access points.
• Troubleshooting: Test signal strength and use diagnostic tools to locate and fix network disruptions or damaged lines.
• Maintenance: Inspect existing infrastructure, remove old or redundant cabling, and ensure work spaces adhere to safety codes.

Required Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with hand and power tools, cable testers (such as Fluke), and blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, climb ladders, and work outdoors or in confined, elevated spaces.
• Driver’s License: A valid driver's license and a clean driving record for traveling to job sites.
• Soft Skills: Strong communication and customer service abilities for interacting with clients on-site

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Indianapolis, IN.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
