This position is located onsite at our well-equipped hospital facility in Spokane, where collaboration is valued and encouraged. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will be entrenched in a multidisciplinary team that includes Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech-Language Pathologists. Your work week will generally consist of weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexible scheduling as necessary to meet patient needs and operational demands. • Assist physical therapists in developing and implementing tailored treatment plans that enhance patient mobility and functional capabilities.
• Guide patients through prescribed therapeutic exercises, ensuring proper technique and safety, while providing encouragement and motivation.
• Educate patients and their families about body mechanics and home exercise programs to support ongoing recovery outside of clinical visits.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as electrical stimulation, ultrasound, and heat/cold treatments under the supervision of a physical therapist.
• Continuously monitor and document patient progress, tracking improvement in range of motion, strength, and functional abilities.
• Maintain an organized treatment area and manage equipment to ensure readiness for therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to make coordinated care decisions that optimize rehabilitation outcomes for patients.
• Provide emotional support and encouragement, nurturing a therapeutic atmosphere that promotes healing.
• Uphold ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality in all interactions and documentation.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy or an Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Current and valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant.

• Proven ability to perform therapeutic exercises and modalities safely and effectively under direction.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster effective relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
