Moffitt Cancer Center is searching for a medical oncologist to join a high-volume GU practice with close collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues in surgical oncology, radiation oncology, interventional radiology, pathology, radiology, and supportive care medicine. The candidate would provide patient care under the auspices of the Moffitt Medical Group and serve as a member of the academic medical enterprise, advancing the institutional mission of contributing to the prevention and cure of cancer. The position spans the clinical and research enterprise, and supports patient care, research, and education. The candidate would be joining a team of 6 medical oncologist throughout multiple sites and would have a special focus on bladder cancer clinical research.
The candidate would work closely with a GU disease site team, which is a rapidly growing department at Moffitt with a robust clinical trial portfolio in GU cancer immunotherapy, cell therapy and adaptive therapy. More than 140 pts were enrolled in clinical trials over the past years and over 80% of the trials are early phase trials. Some of the investigator initiated studies like adaptive therapy and CAR T trial are developed through close collaborations with Moffitt’s research institute.
Qualifications:
Education/Licensure:
- MD or Equivalent
- Board certified (or eligible) in Hematology/Oncology
- Requires successful completion of an approved Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology
- Florida Medical License
- DEA License
- ACLS as required by privileges granted through Medical Staff
