Job description

The shuttle driver is responsible for safely transporting passengers, including guests and team members between designated locations.  Driver will be responsible for driving a shuttle route, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the vehicle. 

Job Duties

The following include, but are not limited to essential functions of the position.

  • Drive company vehicles, ensuring safe and timely transport of guests and team members while providing a comfortable ride for passengers.
  • Drive the shuttle according to a set schedule and route.
  • Assist passengers in boarding and exiting the vehicle.
  • Maintain a clean and comfortable vehicle environment for passengers.
  • Ensure that vehicles are adequately fueled.
  • Handle passengers’ emergencies or disruptions.
  • Adhere to traffic regulations and follow established and traffic and transportation procedures.
  • Communicate any pertinent information to the security supervisor on duty.
  • May have to lift heavy items, i.e. luggage, other items.
  • Maintain vehicle upkeep and ensure any necessary repair are reported and done.
  • Report any accidents or vehicle issues to management.
  • May work varied hours during special events/concerts.
  • Provide transportation to and from company events as needed.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to each guest for Warm Springs Gaming Enterprise.
  • Comply with all Tribal and state traffic laws, IGRA, Tribal-State Compact, Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal Gaming Regulations, FinCEN requirements and Warm Springs Gaming Enterprise Internal Controls.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Guest Service: Must provide excellent customer service to ensure passenger satisfaction and comfort; providing polite, friendly service and handling passenger inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills are essential, includes verbal, written and listening skills.  Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, management and guests while providing excellent service to internal and external customers.  Must maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Physical Stamina: The Shuttle Driver often works long hours and may work in various weather conditions.  Drivers should have the physical stamina to handle luggage and assist passengers, especially those with disabilities.

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Familiar with and adherence to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of area routes and traffic patterns.
  • Good physical condition to assist with luggage and wheelchair bound passengers.
  • Must either be First Aid and CPR Certified or must complete such certification within six (6) months from hire.
  • Must have flexible schedule and able to work required shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience as a Shuttle Driver or similar role.

Certification(s) and/or Licenses Required

  • Must maintain a valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Must be insurable through CTWS/WSCE insurance policy.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Must submit to and pass a drug/alcohol screening test.
  • Must submit to and pass an Oregon State background investigation.

High Risk – Job requires on the road, outdoors, in all weather conditions, and flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holiday driving.
