We understand that management, performance objectives and feeding practices can be vastly different between operations, and that these differences dictate specific nutritional or formulation requirements. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionist works with producers to design a feeding program that is specific to their operation.

Position Summary
Livestock Nutrition Center, a leading feed manufacturing and grain handling company, is seeking to hire an individual as a Merchandising Assistant. This role will provide administrative and customer service support to the Supply Chain Team. Accurate and timely entry of all sales and purchase contract information is essential for this position. The individual in this position must have an understanding of good accounting practices and be able work with and develop spreadsheets. This role will also be providing a high level of customer service with both customers and suppliers.
Responsibilities and Duties
  • Daily data entry into contract management system. This includes creating new sales and purchase contracts, inputting truck, rail and barge shipment data, and maintaining accurate contract balances.
  • Reconcile contract balances with both suppliers and customers throughout the term of contracts.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of reports out of contract management system.
  • Reconcile and balance futures, options with cash positions.
  • Provide backup to the Accounting Department as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 2-year Associates degree and/or Grain Accounting experience is preferred.
  • Must have high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must have the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and provide superior customer service.
  • Must have high level of computer skills.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Suites.
  • Experience in Tableau is beneficial.
