Job description

Position Summary:

In this role, you will assist with maintaining, repair, and service equipment used in daily golf course operations. The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced outdoor environment, all aimed at fostering connections and ensuring our team thrives together in a spirit of collaboration and shared purpose.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Deliver service with care and attention, always prioritizing quality and the well-being of the Members.
  • Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of golf course equipment, including:
    • Reel and rotary mowers
    • Utility vehicles
    • Tractors
    • Sprayers and spreaders
    • Small engine equipment (trimmers, blowers, chainsaws, etc.)
  • Perform preventative maintenance including:
    • Oil and filter changes
    • Lubrication and greasing
    • Tire repair and replacement
    • Hydraulic system inspections
    • Battery maintenance
  • Assist with reel grinding, bed knife adjustments, and mower setup.
  • Maintain accurate service and repair records.
  • Keep the equipment maintenance facility clean, organized, and safe.
  • Assist with equipment inventory and parts management.
  • Ensure all equipment meets safety standards and operates efficiently.
  • Communicate equipment issues promptly to the Equipment Manager and Superintendent
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop area.
  • Strictly adhere to all safety protocols and equipment operating guidelines.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of basic mechanical experience or entry-level exposure to equipment maintenance (golf course maintenance or turf equipment experience preferred).
  • A genuine desire to work as part of a team and contribute positively to our workplace culture.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • You will be working in variable temperature conditions (extreme heat or cold) requiring flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • You may experience variable noise levels.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to transport 50 lbs. consistently.
  • Standing, stooping, bending, reaching, and twisting for most of the workday.
  • Manual dexterity to operate various hand tools, power tools, and specialized shop equipment safely.
