Location: Remote - Flexible within the United States

OPPORTUNITY
ANet's Assessment Operations Team provides seamless guidance and support to our content specialists so we achieve all Math and English and Language Arts (ELA) production milestones in a timely and accurate manner. We are seeking an Assessment Operations Assistant to assist the Assessment Operations Team with the development, design, and production of standards-based Math and ELA interim assessments to be administered online and on paper. The Assessment Operations Assistant will report to the Manager, Product Operations.
This is a Part Time, fixed-term W2 role, and is anticipated to end by October 2026.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Collaborate with the Product Operations team on the production, delivery and support of ANet's products:
  • Create and revise assessments in ANet's Assessment Creation Tool: select items, complete layout, and adhere to ANet's style guide and assessment design principles
  • Create and revise English and/or Spanish assessments in the third-party platform by selecting items, completing layout, and adhering to ANet's style guide and assessment design principles
  • Complete quality assurance (QA) testing of ANet's online assessment delivery system (ADS) and its integration with ANet's Assessment Creation Tool
  • Implement improvements to items and assessments based on editor and team input

Collaborate on special projects, including, but not limited to:
  • Build and review assessments in third-party assessment delivery platforms for major national partnerships
  • Support student accommodations with ANet assessments, ensuring all students have an equitable experience
  • Support emerging production needs related to assessment creation, posting, and administration

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
In order to be successful in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:
  • Minimum 1 year of work experience
  • Proficiency in Google Docs, Google Sheets and Adobe Acrobat
  • Thorough, precise and meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong editing skills and understanding of grammar rules
  • Comfort learning and using new software, applications, and online platforms
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage projects
  • Ability to meet deadlines and balance shifting priorities

The pay range for this position is between $17.34 - $25.50 per hour. New hires will start between the range minimum and midpoint ($17.34 - $21.08) based on qualifications assessed during the hiring process, past experience, and internal equity.
