Job description

Standard Job Description Responsible for sustainment program support to include integration, comprehensive logistics, sustainment plan creation and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. May serve as the point of contact for logistics with the customer and provide advice or training on system design and specifications.

Functions as the internal design interface between support system, concepts and specifications. Performs analysis of the sustainment system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Other analysis may include interface studies, timeline and requirements allocation, effectiveness, verification, cost/risk, and supportability.

Core Responsibilities LSA Support - Assist in reviewing, validating, and executing Logistic Support Analysis (LSA) processes; support the implementation of LSA programs on Combat Systems; analyze LSAR data received from team members and subcontractors under guidance. Customer Liaison - Work with customers on LSArelated queries, providing timely information and escalating issues to senior staff as needed. CrossFunctional Collaboration - Work with product teams, supplychain managers, and engineering leads to determine program LSA needs and help craft viable solutions, ensuring sustainment is integrated early in the design cycle.

Technical Issue Management- Identify and resolve LSArelated technical questions from the ILS team; mentor new analysts where appropriate. Compliance Tracking - Monitor and report compliance status of LSA activities for all systems, supporting program deliverables and milestone reviews. Analytical & Design Activities- Perform Design for Supportability (DfS) analysis.

Conduct Reliability, Maintainability and Availability (RMA) analysis. Execute Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA). Apply ReliabilityCentered Maintenance Analysis (RCMA).

Carry out Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA). Develop comprehensive Maintenance Plans. Perform Sparing and LevelofRepair (LORA) analyses.

Calculate LifeCycle Cost (LCC). Analyze support and test equipment requirements. Technical Documentation - Compile, review, and upload technical content for manuals and LSARs that meet industry standards.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Systems, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. 2+ years of professional experience in Integrated Logistics Support, sustainment engineering, or a related field, preferably within a defense or maritime context. Proven ability to perform DfS, RMA, FMECA, RCMA, MTA, sparing, LORA, and LCC analyses and translate results into actionable data.

Experience developing or reviewing LSARs, Maintenance Plans, and supportanalysis documentation. Ability to obtain a NATO Secret clearance in a timely manner. Excellent written and verbal communication skills-capable of explaining complex sustainment concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.

Strong analytical mindset and problemsolving aptitude in a dynamic, matrixed environment. Selfdirected, proactive, and adaptable to shifting program priorities. Desired Skills Familiarity with Canadian Defence procurement rules and Integrated Logistics Support framework.

Proficiency in configurationmanagement and modelbased systems engineering tools such as Windchill, DOORS, and Cameo. Experience managing multiple concurrent priorities while delivering milestonealigned ILS outputs. Knowledge ofSysMLor other objectoriented modeling languages as applied to logistics.

Exposure to Agile development, Lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement methodologies in a sustainment context.
