Job Description:

Capital One, a Fortune 500 company and one of the nation's top 10 banks, offers a broad spectrum of financial products and services to consumers, small businesses and commercial clients. Our goal is to create one of the nation's great banks, and we have the necessary ingredients: a strong balance sheet, resilient businesses, a massive customer franchise, strong analytical capabilities, and great people. We nurture a work environment where people with a variety of thoughts, ideas and backgrounds, guided by our shared values, come together to make Capital One a great company.

As a Project Manager within Retail Bank Operations Command Center, you will be the strategic driver behind initiatives that keep our retail banking services running smoothly and evolving with customer needs. • Leverage problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent

  • Document projects appropriately to storytell the journey of the project, ensuring decision points and issues are historically preserved

  • Identify potential risks and process breakdowns, document issues, and drive them toward remediation

  • Exhibit outstanding influencing and results oriented skills to effectively drive project / program efforts

  • Serve as a formal or informal mentor to junior PMs; share subject matter expertise and model the "Differentiator" behaviors of the PMO competency model, raising the quality of work for all project managers in the organization

  • Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

  • Showcase proven ability to manage multiple complex initiations simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time

Location: West Creek 5 (Richmond, VA), Center 2 (McLean, VA), or 802 Delaware Ave (Wilmington, DE) - This role is hybrid, where you will be expected to spend 3 days per week working in the office and the remainder of the week working virtually.
