Position Summary

Our client, a global manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Procurement Buyer to join its plant-level procurement team. Reporting to the Plant Procurement Lead, this role supports both strategic and operational procurement activities, including cost savings initiatives, supplier performance management, transactional execution, and cross-functional collaboration in a fast-paced plant environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support benchmarking, should-be-cost analysis, and business case development
  • Assist in planning and monitoring supplier performance, including ASAT and related compliance activities
  • Develop and maintain tools and templates to streamline team communication and procurement execution
  • Communicate with suppliers on operational topics; support negotiations and RFQ/RFP processes alongside Strategic Buyers
  • Participate in supplier meetings and liaise with Financial Shared Services to resolve purchase-to-pay issues
  • Support buyer/planners and operations staff in executing purchase orders, resolving AP issues, and supplier communications
  • Interface with Shipping, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Quality to resolve cross-functional issues
  • Ensure adherence to global procedures, quality standards, and departmental policies
  • Resolve issues related to direct materials, services, raw material quality, quantity verification, and delivery to support production demands

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of prior procurement experience, ideally with purchase-to-pay exposure, preferred
  • Technical understanding of manufacturing or industrial environments preferred
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills; comfortable working directly with suppliers and cross-functional teams
  • Data-oriented, organized, and able to manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • High integrity, with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
  • Oracle experience a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship)
