Job description

The PM Manager ensures the day-to-day operational and managerial needs of the Environmental Services department. Responsible for providing leadership, management, budgetary controls and integration of operations. Maintains the standard of cleanliness and appearance as established by Woman's Hospital.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, or five years of management level experience in lieu of Bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of leadership experience.
  • Leadership experience in healthcare environmental services preferred. 

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates department day-to-day operations, staff and resources to ensure hospital standards of cleanliness, sanitation and appearance are met.
  • Works with outside vendors, including the linen vendor, to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
  • Reviews and updates shift report and duty list assignments regularly to meet the cleaning and organizational needs of the Environmental Services department. Delegates effectively, ensuring responsibilities are consistent with authority and delegated assignments.
  • Oversees the hiring process including interviewing, orientation and onboarding, as well as the employee corrective action process and terminations.
  • Evaluates staff competency through use of annual performance evaluations, mandatory education requirements, staff meetings attendance and participation, employee coaching and mentoring.
  • Role models and fosters a department culture of professionalism and employee engagement.
  • Assists the EVS director in conducting and facilitating both EVS management team meetings and general department staff meetings.
  • Develops, implements and maintains systems and programs such as: cost containment and expense controls to ensure sound financial operation for the department. Makes recommendations to the EVS director on both operational and capital budget needs for the EVS department.
  • Monitors patient satisfaction scores. Develops and implements action plans and processes to achieve desired outcomes in service excellence initiatives.
  • Executes leadership rounding on both patients and internal customers.
  • Any other duties as assigned by Woman's Hospital.

Monday - Friday 

2:00 PM - 11:30 PM

On-call one weekend per month

Pay Range:

Salary/Exempt

$57,000 – $83,000; based off work experience
