Position Summary:
This role is responsible to work independently to display and stock products; to ensure that you contribute to the financial best interest of the store. Additionally, this role is responsible for meeting company guidelines for guest experience, as well as complying with company guidelines for safety and food safety.
Here's what you'll do:
  • Greet customers and answer questions regarding product content, use and price.
  • Responsible to receive, inspect and verify in coming stock; review and document freight damage.
  • Arrange shelves and floor displays by changing, rotating and pricing products.
  • Monitor ongoing inventory, assist with cycle counts, determine stocking needs, code merchandise, check product in display for quality by visually inspecting product and remove distress merchandise.
  • Enter merchandise data into the system to update files and generate reports. Reconcile daily receipts with daily sales reports when required.
  • Process customers purchase promptly and courteously through the use of a cash register and/or scanning equipment.
  • Observe customers, checks identification for proof-of-age.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area including sales floor and backroom areas that are free from debris and clutter with clean floors, cases, shelves, glass, clean and organized coolers and/or storage areas.
  • Assist in maximizing product sales by offering product information, providing selling suggestions.
  • Follow all PPE and Safety Guidelines
  • Follow all Food Safety and Cleaning Expectations
  • Follow Guest Experience Guidelines
  • May be assigned tasks in other departments based on customer experience need
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Here's what you'll need:
  • High School Diploma (Preferred)
  • One year of retail industry or customer service experience preferred
  • Good verbal communication skills with ability to communicate efficiently with customers.
  • Good customer service and organizational skills.
  • Good understanding of federal, state, local and company regulations relating to the sale of alcohol and/or tobacco products.
  • Prior knowledge of wines, spirits and beer helpful for product suggestion and identification.

Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
