Here's what a shift as a Veterinary Assistant at Kinard Animal Hospital actually looks like. You start by prepping a patient for an exam, jump in to help restrain during a nail trim, walk a nervous pet parent through their cat's discharge instructions, and somehow make it all look easy.

We're looking to add a Full-Time Veterinary Assistant to a team that already knows how to work well together. What You Will Be Doing
  • Maintaining accurate medical records and helping answer client questions
  • Prepping patients for exams and surgeries
  • Administering medications as directed
  • Assisting with lab testing including blood, fecal, and urine
  • Cleaning and sanitizing surgical tools, kennels, and exam areas
  • Monitoring post-op patients and reporting any changes
  • Safely restraining patients during exams and procedures
  • Helping educate pet parents on medications, treatments, and care
  • Partnering with credentialed technicians and Veterinarians to deliver top-tier care

Schedule
  • Full-time, Day shift
  • 9-hour shifts
  • No weekends
  • No holiday shifts required

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a veterinary hospital or similar setting

Compensation
Starting at $16.50+/hr. Final compensation will be commensurate with experience.
