Position Summary

The Leasing Manager is responsible for maximizing property performance through effective leasing strategies, exceptional customer service, and strong team leadership. This role oversees the full leasing lifecycle, from prospect engagement and lease execution to renewals and resident retention, while ensuring an outstanding resident experience and achieving occupancy and revenue goals.

Requirements:

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead by example and embody McCaffery's culture, values, and service standards.
  • Deliver exceptional experiences for residents and prospects through The McCaffery Way.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop Leasing Consultants to build a high-performing team.
  • Set and monitor individual and team leasing goals, providing ongoing feedback and support.
  • Identify opportunities to improve leasing processes, performance, and resident satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and individual coaching sessions.
  • Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, ADA requirements, company policies, and all applicable regulations.
  • Support overall property operations and assist with team coverage as needed.
  • Stay informed of market trends, competitor activity, and industry best practices.
Leasing & Resident Experience
  • Lead all leasing activities to achieve occupancy, renewal, and revenue goals.
  • Create a welcoming, professional environment for prospects and residents.
  • Conduct apartment tours, identify prospective resident needs, and effectively showcase community amenities and features.
  • Maintain consistent follow-up communication with prospective residents.
  • Oversee lease application processing, screening, approvals, and lease execution.
  • Manage renewal activities, including resident outreach, rate discussions, and retention strategies.
  • Maintain accurate leasing records, reports, and resident documentation.
  • Ensure model apartments and vacant units are market-ready and presented to the highest standards.
  • Assist with rent and deposit collection as required.
Marketing & Business Development
  • Collaborate with property and marketing leadership to execute leasing and marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor online listings and advertising to ensure pricing and availability are accurate.
  • Develop outreach efforts with local businesses, employers, and community organizations.
  • Provide recommendations on market trends, resident preferences, and competitive positioning to support leasing success.
Property Presentation
  • Conduct regular property walks to ensure the community remains clean, attractive, and well-maintained.
  • Report maintenance concerns promptly and partner with site teams to maintain exceptional curb appeal.
  • Assist with move-out inspections and vacancy readiness as needed.
