The Role We Want You For

LJC is seeking an experienced Site Designer to join our growing Landscape Architecture practice. In this role, you will be responsible for working on and leading a full range of assignments throughout all project phases, including proposal support, design, documentation, and construction administration.

We are looking for a well-rounded design professional who is self-motivated, collaborative, and capable of delivering projects from concept through construction while maintaining a high level of design quality and technical excellence.

The Specifics of the Role

  • Deliver landscape architecture projects from design concept through construction completion while ensuring a consistent and high level of quality.
  • Provide creative thinking and contribute to design advancement and problem-solving.
  • Organize and deliver design documents and presentations, including high-quality renderings, plans, and perspectives.
  • Organize and deliver construction documents, including drawings and specifications.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams including consultants, design-build contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Assist in project document reviews and ensure adherence to firm standards, best practices, and quality expectations.
  • Support proposal development, project pursuits, and client presentations as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with project stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Landscape Architecture.
  • 5–10 years of professional experience in landscape architecture or site design.
  • Professional Landscape Architect registration preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of the relationship between design and constructability.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign).
  • Experience with 3D modeling software such as SketchUp and Rhino preferred.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
