Registered Professional Land Surveyor
Job Overview:
Colony Ridge Development LLC is seeking a Registered Professional Land Surveyor to join our Land Development team in our New Caney, TX office. Colony Ridge has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals, dedicated to providing high-level professional services for all phases of our developments. We are currently developing and building a large community in Liberty County requiring professional services in such categories as residential land development, commercial and industrial land development, streets and other public works projects, parks, schools, regional survey control network, and other items necessary to develop and build a large city/community.
Job Description:
The Registered Professional Land Surveyor is responsible for preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned engineering and surveying projects. They are also responsible for communicating effectively with project managers and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Direct and perform all aspects of acquiring, processing, analyzing and compiling data to prepare maps, documents, and deliverables for the following:
    • Boundary surveys
    • Topographic surveys
    • Control and design surveys
    • Plats
    • Records of survey
    • ALTA/ACSM surveys
    • Lot line adjustments
    • Easement acquisitions
    • Aerial mapping
  • Assist in development of survey division
  • Manage all day-to-day survey operations
  • Submit applicable documents
  • Perform office surveying tasks and occasional field related tasks

Qualifications:
  • Registered Professional Land Surveyor in Texas
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience supervising; topographic, boundary, and ALTA surveys
  • Working knowledge of Topcon/Trimble GPS survey equipment, Trimble Business Center, or AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Construction staking experience
  • Strong Organizational skills
  • Self-Motivated
