We currently have a great opportunity for a Jr. Woven Bottoms Designer. The Jr. Designer will assist the Senior Designer with the execution of vision, style, and aesthetic, for our womenswear brands. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in product development at all stages under guidance of designers: sketching, detail sketches, tech packs (proto stage), line sheets, trend research, etc.
  • Take initiative on initial stages of garment creation: present new sketches, request new fabrics, look to anticipate and fulfill the upcoming needs of all our accounts.
  • Able to generate and maintain line sheets, plm notes and communication with overseas factories with a high level of accuracy
  • Coordinate samples: check in proto and sale samples, track organize and archive
  • Helps maintain fabric assortment for each season
  • Understand the customers by doing market research
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of the customer and competition
  • Shop retail floor
  • Concept research
  • Adhere to due dates for all stages of design
  • Able to adjust to changing business needs
  • Adjust to Time and Action calendar changes
  • Send out and follow up on packages for overseas vendors
  • Coordinate sample requests from sales and marketing
  • Attend fittings with production and technical design
  • Work with design, sales and production to effectively communicate departmental needs and design requests.
  • Participate in group meetings and trend shopping
