Job description

Zipline Canopy Tour Guide

Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures is currently seeking eligible applicants for the position of Zipline Canopy Tour Guide. This position requires energetic, outgoing, adventurous, and safety conscious individuals. Zipline Canopy Tour Guides are responsible for communicating with and overseeing guests during their experience while on the Canopy Tour to ensure an unforgettable and safe adventure. This is an active outdoor position that not only involves engaging with guests for safety and guidance, but also daily course inspections.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Engage and build a relationship with guests while on the tour
  • Harness guests and familiarize them with safety equipment they will use during their adventure
  • Conduct safety demonstrations for guests and consistently assess their needs while on tour
  • Provide and document thorough daily inspections of the course, safety equipment, and opening and closing duties of the Zipline tour
  • Operating the Zipline activity including setting brakes, attaching guests to cables, and performing assists
  • Attending required trainings and meetings
  • Promote a safe and enjoyable attitude at all times amongst guests and staff to ensure a positive lifelong memory
  • Assist in grounds and course maintenance as needed
  • Assist with the Mobile Park, Bungee Launcher, Bungy Trampoline & Rock Wall, and special events as needed, including travel to events, and sales efforts
  • Complying with and enforcing the policies, procedures, and regulations of Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures
  • This position includes all responsibilities of the Adventure Park Guide
  • Assist with other duties at Bristol Mountain Aerial Adventures as needed

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older and prior work experience
  • Ability to engage with guests of all ages in individual and group settings while being creative and personable
  • Commitment to safety and attention to detail
  • Must have excellent verbal communication, presentation, and customer service skills
  • Must be able to assist guests up to 270lbs from the Zipline cables and pass a physical fitness test
  • Have full range of motion and the ability to hike, climb, rappel, and assist guests at heights
  • Must have weekend availability and flexible weekday availability
  • Must be able to perform all job functions for long periods of time in all weather conditions at heights
  • Ability to pass first aid course, CPR training course, and site specific Zipline course training
  • Prior ropes/climbing experience is preferred but not necessary

Hours:

This position can require full time (30-40 hours a week) during the high season and abbreviated hours during the shoulder seasons. Hours of employment are dependent on business demands.

Compensation:

$16.00 per hour + Bonus
