What does an assistant kayak tour guide do?

An Assistant Kayak Tour Guide helps lead and support kayak tours, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of participants. They assist the lead guide in preparing equipment, giving instructions, and supervising guests on the water. Their responsibilities also include helping with basic rescue techniques, sharing information about local wildlife and geography, and providing customer service throughout the tour. This role is ideal for those who enjoy the outdoors and working with people.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an assistant kayak tour guide, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Assistant Kayak Tour Guide, you need strong paddling ability, water safety knowledge, and a basic understanding of local wildlife and geography, often supported by CPR/First Aid certification.
