ABOUT PEDIATRIC DENTISTRY OF BRONX:

We are a growing pediatric dental and orthodontic practice that values integrity, honesty, and accountability. We are devoted to helping all children and teens achieve a lifetime of healthy smiles, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Using the latest techniques, our highly trained and experienced pediatric specialists provide outstanding dental and orthodontic care in a comfortable, kid-friendly setting. We offer services for fearful and anxious children as well as children with special needs.

Pediatric Dentistry of Bronx in Bronx, NY, is looking to hire a full-time front desk. Mondays-Fridays: 10-6 and every other Saturday, 9-2.

SIGNING BONUS: $650

Front Desk Qualifications Dental Practice:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in dental administration or healthcare is a plus.

  • At least one year of experience working in a dental front office.

  • Proficient in electronic dental records, insurance verification tools, and digital communication platforms used for family and patient outreach.

  • Familiarity with pediatric dental terminology and procedures, such as sealants, fluoride treatments, space maintainers, and behavior management techniques.

  • Experience with Dentrix or other dental practice management software is highly preferred.

  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain dental procedures and financial information clearly to parents and caregivers.

  • Comfortable working with children and families, displaying patience, warmth, and professionalism at all times.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, child-friendly environment.

Front Desk Responsibilities:

As the first point of contact in our dental office, you play a critical role in creating a positive, professional, and compassionate experience for every patient.

  • Welcome each patient to our dental office with a friendly and professional greeting, reinforcing our commitment to comfort and care from the moment they walk in.

  • Collect and scan dental intake forms, including medical histories, HIPAA forms, and consent for treatment. Ensure all x-rays and referral letters (if applicable) are properly documented.

  • Accurately verify and update patient records in our dental software system, including contact details, dental insurance information, medical alerts, and preferred pharmacy.

  • Notify dental assistants, hygienists, or dentists of patient arrivals and reason for visit-such as new patient exams, hygiene cleanings, fillings, crowns, root canals, or emergency care.

  • Review treatment plans with patients and clearly explain their insurance coverage, out-of-pocket costs, and financing options for procedures like implants, Invisalign, or whitening.

  • Manage patient flow throughout the visit-coordinate operatory readiness, monitor wait times, and ensure smooth transitions between hygiene and restorative care.

  • Answer incoming calls with professionalism and warmth. Schedule appointments for hygiene recalls, restorative follow-ups, and specialty referrals based on provider availability and procedure length.

  • Confirm insurance eligibility for same-day or walk-in patients and help patients navigate dental benefits and pre-authorization when needed.

  • Use our practice management system to confirm upcoming appointments, send reminders, and follow up with patients overdue for cleanings, x-rays, or recommended treatments.
