Hospital Lab Assistant - Inventory / Supplies

LabCorp is seeking a Hospital Lab Assistant - Inventory / Supplies to join our team at Ascension St. John Hospital in Tulsa, OK.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM โ€“ 4:30 PM

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Place orders for supplies from vendors via computer and telephone
  • Receive and process stock into inventory management system
  • Process orders from lab departments via phone, fax and email
  • Resolve all inventory discrepancies efficiently and timely
  • Maintain inventory control according to company standards
  • Orchestrate full monthly physical inventory
  • Deliver supplies to needed departments
  • Additional Materials duties as needed
  • Load and unload supplies from trucks and verify packing slips as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years or more of inventory, purchasing and/or supply management experience in hospital lab setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Finance
  • Associate's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology

Additional Job Standards:

  • Knowledge of inventory control and performing physical inventory
  • Knowledge of market conditions, pricing trends and supply chain logistics
  • Basic computer knowledge and data entry skills
  • Intermediate aptitude in procurement software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data tracking spreadsheets including use of Microsoft Excel with expert knowledge of spreadsheet formulas and creating pivot tables.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
