Position Overview
Venture Solutions, a division of Taylor Corporation, is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to support warehouse and production operations at its Fort Worth facility. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting inventory audits, performing cycle counts, and ensuring inventory accuracy across warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory levels for all incoming, stored, and produced materials.
- Conduct daily, monthly, and quarterly cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, reporting findings to management.
- Analyze inventory data to identify stock trends, shortages, and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and maintain inventory documentation, including shipping, receiving, adjustments, and inventory reports.
- Ensure compliance with warehouse inventory control procedures and company policies.
- Collaborate with warehouse, production, procurement, and sales teams to resolve inventory-related issues.
- Assist with inventory audits and other warehouse improvement projects.
- Train and support new inventory team members on inventory procedures and best practices.
- Promote quality standards and continuous inventory accuracy throughout warehouse operations.
Qualifications
Required
- Strong computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong inventory counting and auditing abilities.
- Ability to follow established procedures and work independently.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry 25+ pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
Preferred
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2–5 years of inventory control, warehouse, or production experience.
- Experience performing inventory counts, audits, and reconciliation.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
