Job Overview

Marketech International Corporation USA is seeking a hands-on and safety-focused Maintenance Technician – Semiconductor / Chemical Systems to support maintenance, installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and operational-support activities within semiconductor project environments.

This role is responsible for assisting with the inspection, maintenance, repair, and operation of chemical, mechanical, electrical, process-support, and facility-related systems. The Maintenance Technician will work closely with engineers, technicians, contractors, vendors, and customer representatives to support equipment reliability, safe project execution, and efficient field operations.

The ideal candidate has strong mechanical or electrical aptitude, the ability to follow structured procedures, and a willingness to work in semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, construction, or facility environments. The specific technician level will be determined based on the candidate's experience, technical knowledge, certifications, and interview assessment.

Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance, Inspection & Equipment Support
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspection, and support tasks for semiconductor-related equipment, chemical systems, process-support systems, tools, and facility infrastructure.
  • Assist with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, equipment checks, and routine condition assessments.
  • Support the inspection and maintenance of pumps, valves, piping, sensors, controls, electrical components, mechanical equipment, and chemical-delivery-related systems.
  • Conduct basic operational checks and identify equipment abnormalities, damaged components, leaks, alarms, or other potential system concerns.
  • Assist with parts replacement, minor repairs, equipment staging, and maintenance-related field activities.
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in accordance with 5S, cleanroom, and project requirements.
  • Support equipment reliability and uptime by completing assigned maintenance activities accurately and on schedule.
Installation, Startup & Commissioning Support
  • Assist with equipment installation, startup, commissioning, testing, operational verification, and turnover activities.
  • Support installation and field verification of equipment, piping, valves, pumps, sensors, electrical components, and related facility systems.
  • Assist with system checks, functional testing, troubleshooting, and corrective actions during startup and commissioning activities.
  • Review work instructions, equipment documentation, maintenance checklists, technical drawings, and project requirements to support accurate task completion.
  • Help prepare work areas, tools, materials, equipment, and supporting documentation for installation and commissioning activities.
  • Support project teams during construction, tool-install, maintenance shutdown, facility expansion, or system-modification activities.
Troubleshooting & Issue Escalation
  • Assist with troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, chemical-delivery, facility, and process-support systems.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, meters, diagnostic instruments, and maintenance equipment safely and appropriately.
  • Identify equipment concerns, abnormal operating conditions, safety risks, unclear instructions, and system issues requiring additional support.
  • Escalate equipment failures, safety concerns, process abnormalities, damaged materials, and urgent maintenance needs to the appropriate supervisor, lead, or engineering team.
  • Support root-cause analysis and corrective-action activities by documenting findings, observations, and work performed.
  • Assist with resolving field issues in a timely, professional, and solution-oriented manner.
Safety, Documentation & Team Support
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, work instructions, lockout/tagout requirements, PPE requirements, cleanroom protocols, and site-specific safety procedures.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings, toolbox talks, pre-task planning, and other required safety activities.
  • Document maintenance activities, inspections, task completion, equipment issues, repairs, testing results, and work performed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized maintenance records, work logs, checklists, inspection forms, and related technical documentation.
  • Support material handling, inventory organization, parts staging, worksite logistics, and equipment organization as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with engineers, technicians, contractors, vendors, customer representatives, and project teams to support maintenance and operational needs.
  • Participate in continuous-improvement efforts related to equipment reliability, maintenance processes, safety, documentation accuracy, and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Hands-on mechanical, electrical, facilities, industrial, or maintenance aptitude.
  • Ability to follow structured instructions, SOPs, checklists, work orders, and safety requirements.
  • Comfortable working in semiconductor, industrial, manufacturing, construction, cleanroom, or facility environments.
  • Ability to use basic hand tools, power tools, meters, and maintenance equipment safely.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, reliability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work independently when assigned tasks and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform physically active work in an industrial or project environment.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate maintenance, inspection, and task-completion documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree, trade school education, technical certification, or related technical training.
  • Experience in equipment maintenance, facilities maintenance, semiconductor operations, chemical systems, manufacturing, industrial construction, cleanroom, MEP, or tool-install environments.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, piping, pumps, valves, sensors, controls, or chemical-delivery systems.
  • Experience supporting equipment startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, or corrective maintenance.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom, semiconductor fab, industrial facility, or high-tech manufacturing environment.
  • OSHA 10, OSHA 30, lockout/tagout, HAZWOPER, or other relevant safety certifications.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings, work instructions, maintenance checklists, P&IDs, equipment documentation, or related field documents.
  • Bilingual English/Mandarin Chinese communication skills are a plus, but not required.

Work Environment

This is a full-time onsite role supporting semiconductor, cleanroom, industrial, construction, chemical-system, and facility-maintenance environments. Work may occur in equipment rooms, process-support areas, cleanroom environments, construction zones, utility spaces, and other active project locations.

The Maintenance Technician must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment, following cleanroom and site-specific procedures, using approved tools and equipment, and performing physically active work. The position may require standing, walking, bending, lifting, climbing ladders, and responding to changing project priorities, maintenance needs, and system conditions.
