60% Relationships and Marketing
Provides daily support to P&C Lead Marketers and Producers.
• Reviewing, updating, inputting insurance quoted data into excel spreadsheet and to ensure submissions are complete and correct before they are submitted to the insurance markets.
• Communicating with inter-company departments & insurance company underwriters regarding needed information.
• Sending submissions to insurance companies.
• Following up with insurance companies to make sure they have adequate information.
• Checking insurance quotes against policies for accuracy and coverage.
• Pulls and prepares completed proposal packages and edits as necessary.
• Participating in meetings with insurance companies to obtain knowledge of each company.
• Learning all Commercial Lines service standards and procedures.
20% Office Administration/File Management
• Documenting all correspondence, following up for necessary information updates at appropriate times and keeping the client files organized and up to date.
10% Teamwork
• Works together with team and with other departments; this includes conferencing with Producer or Account Executive to discuss the execution of strategies. Manages PTO to work with departmental needs. Volunteers to back up and/or assist others as needed. Completes special projects as assigned by the manager.
10% Determination
• Displays commitment and initiative to meet department and agency education goals as set forth in the organization's education program.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
