The Assistant Manager assists the General Manager in all aspects of theatre operation. The Assistant Manager must be knowledgeable of company policies and procedures and be able to implement these effectively. It is the responsibility of the management team to ensure the safety of patrons and workers by following safety procedures. The Assistant Manager maintains positive customer and staff relations. This position reports to the General Manager.
Requirements
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Maintains high level of customer satisfaction
  • Oversees operation and maintenance of theatre and equipment; conducts safety inspections
  • Supervises, schedules and evaluates staff
  • Schedules and conducts training and safety meetings
  • Introduces and implements company policy
  • Supervises and trains projectionists
  • Supervises janitorial staff and conducts janitorial theatre inspections
  • Inputs film schedule times in the box office computer
  • Makes accurate bank deposits and is responsible for petty cash funds
  • Responsible for complete and accurate box office reports
  • Makes accurate and detailed incident/accident reports as necessary
  • Responsible for advertising: trailers, special posters, banners, standees, marquee
  • Responsible for concessions inventorying, ordering and promotions
  • Interfaces with Home Office
