This position is based onsite at our state-of-the-art hospital in Quincy, where you will operate in a dynamic and supportive clinical setting. You will collaborate closely with a team of professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other healthcare specialists, in both outpatient and inpatient contexts. Our workweek is structured from Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, allowing for a balanced personal and professional life.

• Conduct comprehensive physical and mental health assessments of patients, utilizing both comprehensive and problem-focused examinations to ensure individualized care.
• Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests with precision, integrating findings into clinical decision-making processes.
• Prescribe a range of medical therapies and treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of patients, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans in collaboration with attending physicians and interdisciplinary teams, continually assessing outcomes and adjusting interventions as needed.
• Educate patients and families on managing their health conditions, offering guidance on medication regimens, potential side effects, and lifestyle modifications.
• Maintain meticulous records of treatment plans and patient outcomes, ensuring documentation meets all regulatory standards.
• Respond to patient inquiries and concerns within your specialty scope, providing expert consultation-level services.
• Manage diverse patient cases in various healthcare settings, including inpatient units and emergency services.
• Perform necessary invasive procedures as delegated by supervising physicians, in accordance with state regulations and departmental protocols.
• Be flexible to adjust work hours based on the coverage needs of the department, ensuring continuity of patient care.

• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Physician Assistant in a clinical setting, preferably within cardiology or related specialties.
• Active Physician Assistant certification and valid state license required.
• Strong competency in critical thinking, active listening, effective communication, and time management skills.

• Prior experience in a cardiology clinic or similar specialty is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient encounters efficiently.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
