Job description

This is a Medical Assistant position for our Dermatology private practice. Seeking qualified individuals with talent, dedication and ability to grow. Especially interested in applicants who aspire to pursue a Physician Assistant (PA), Medical Doctor (MD), or similar career path. 

Qualifications
  • Integrity, reliability, and strong work ethics
  • Ability to learn quickly and function in accordance to practice procedures
  • HIPAA awareness and compliance
  • Proficiency with Electronic Health / Medical Record (EHR / EMR) systems
  • Proficiency with Health Insurance, Prior-Authorizations and Prescription processes
  • Caring and positive attitude towards Patients

  • Maintaining an organized work environment
  • Professional conduct and appearance
Tasks and duties
  • Assisting doctor during examinations and surgeries
  • Updating and maintaining Patient records (EHR, EMR)
  • Pre and Post Surgery Care (Consent, Dressing Change, Suture Removal, etc.)
  • Processing Prescriptions, Refills, and Prior-Authorizations
  • Sending/receiving reports & notifications to Patients and primary care physicians
  • Promptly, accurately and reliably communicate with Patients
  • Maintenance of examination rooms and instruments
  • Inventory of medical supplies
Compensation depends on candidate's qualifications and experience.

This is a full-time position. Part-time may be considered.
