Irrigation Construction/General Laborer at Roberts IrrigationLocation: Plover, WI 54467 Job Summary
Build and repair center pivot irrigation systems throughout Wisconsin. Working as a team and occasionally independently to complete projects in a timely manner that exceeds the customers' standards and expectations. It is critical to provide timely repairs which will entail longer days and some Saturday work as required. Ability to perform outdoor and indoor work in variable conditions including heat, cold, dust, wind, and rain. Field environments with exposure to pollen and handling chemicals. Occasional overnight travel as needed, some out of state. Must wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) as needed.
Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Responsibilities
Load and unload necessary equipment
Installation and maintenance of center pivot irrigation systems
Repair of systems damaged by collision or weather events
Retrofitting structural components and water distribution devices on existing equipment
Qualifications
Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
CDL is highly preferred but not required.
Company will assist in training
Able to work proficiently both independently and within a team environment
Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Willing to work variable hours and travel in state as needed
Ability to lift 70 pounds and climb ladders frequently.
Must have a desire to learn and grow professionally and personally with willingness to help others
Communicate effectively both verbally and digitally
Prior welding experience with MIG, and SMAW highly preferred but not required
Able to weld in various conditions and positions
General Electrical knowledge and skills
Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklift, skid steer, and crane highly preferred but not required. Company will assist in training.
