Job Description:

TheEIT IIsupports the planning, design, analysis, and delivery of site development projects under the guidance of a licensed Professional Engineer. This role applies growing technical experience and problem-solving skills to moderately complex assignments while collaborating with project managers, clients, public agencies, and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

  • Support the design and preparation of civil site development plans for commercial and mixed-use projects, including grading, drainage, paving, and utility systems.

  • Perform site layout, earthwork calculations, and stormwater management analyses.

  • Assist with preparation of reports, exhibits, and technical documentation for zoning, entitlement, and permitting approvals.

  • Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.

  • Assist in the planning, analysis, and design of engineering projects in accordance with applicable codes, standards, regulations, and project requirements.

  • Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, and design deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.

  • Utilize engineering software, drafting tools, and standard office applications to support assigned tasks.

  • Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.

  • Communicate technical information clearly and effectively through written documents, drawings, and verbal coordination.

  • Manage assigned tasks to meet established schedules and quality expectations.

  • Participate in internal meetings and coordination efforts related to assigned projects.

  • Adhere to company policies, safety procedures, and professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification, preferred

  • Minimum of 1 year of relevant engineering experience

  • Working knowledge of engineering design principles, practices, and applicable codes and standards

  • Proficiency with common engineering software, drafting/design tools, and standard office applications

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while collaborating effectively within a team environment

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm with overtime as needed
