Successful candidates will complete their training within the Windsor-Chatham region, not limited to the exact cities listed in the title.
Workplace Arrangements:Working hours: Must be available to work evenings, weekends and holidays, as required.
Travel: Must be willing to travel within the assigned region. Occasional overnight travel to our Home Office in Ottawa as well as other stores will be required.
Region: The specific store within the region will be discussed during the first interviews, and generally, work will take place within 100km of that store unless applying to stores outside the region after completing the program.

University or College certification in Business Administration, Retail Management, Operations Manager, a related field or equivalent years of retail experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail environment with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
Ability tocoach and lead teams, with the flexibility to adapt leadership styles to meet the diverse needs of team members
Strong basic computer skills with a willingness and ability to quickly learn new software, systems, and adapt to GT procedures
Strong communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas clearly, actively listen, and foster productive dialogue in both written and verbal forms
Excellent planning and organizational skills, with the ability to efficiently manage tasks, schedules, and projects
Dedicated to community engagement, demonstrated by active participation in non-profit initiatives, recreational sports teams, and/or local organizations
French is required in the French speaking provinces/regions
Assets You May Have:
Experience utilizing sales reports and customer feedback to interpret business trends and strategically enhance sales performance.
Visual merchandising experience
Prior experience with Workday or similar people management/scheduling platform
Bilingualism in French and English

Salary
$74,500.00 - $111,800.00What Giant Tiger Offers:
Competitive Compensation: The salary range for this position is listed above. Giant Tiger will consider factors such as experience, skills and internal equity to ensure you are paid competitively.
FIT Bonus: You're eligible for a bonus opportunity equal to 16% of your eligible earnings during the Franchisee-in-Training (FIT) program. There are no individual or business performance measures, and payment is contingent on successful completion of all FIT program requirements.
Health Benefits and Paid Time Off: Access to our flexible, cost-shared health and dental benefits (available on hire) and annual paid time off, including personal and vacation days.
