Job Summary and Responsibilities

This position will be for primary service areas of Denver, Aurora and Parker 

CommonSpirit Health at Home leverages AI-powered clinical documentation to reduce documentation, enhance work-life balance, and maximize patient time.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join the CHI Franciscan Home Health team. The OTA will work collaboratively with the OT and other interdisciplinary team members to plan, implement and evaluate occupational therapy services for patients in their homes.

  • Performs visits as prescribed in the physician’s plan of treatment and in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Provides patient care education to patient and other caregivers.
  • Uses skills to monitor patient status, respond to treatment and care provided. Reports changes in patient condition to appropriate personnel and the attending physician.
  • Completes and submits all required documentation in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Meets with Occupational Therapist for general supervision to ensure all state specific requirements are met.
  • Actively participates in case conferences, summary reports and quarterly record review, in-services and special case orientations.

Job Requirements
    • Associates of applied science (AAS) degree in occupational therapy assistant studies or a related field. 
    • Active registered OTA license in the state which you practice
    • Must obtain and maintain current CPR/BLS Certification
    • One-year Occupational Therapy Assistant experience in a clinical setting.
    • Valid drivers license and auto liability insurance coverage according to the organizational policy is required
