Job Description

Beyond is currently recruiting for a Material Handler to be based out of our Fontana, CA facility. The Material Handler will support Injection Molding & Blow Molding operations. Moves and stores raw materials and finished goods, including loading products onto pallets, recording material movements in the ERP system and assisting with the running of production lines as needed to meet department objectives.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations.
  • Adheres to all instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping procedures.
  • Move raw materials (boxes, liners, bags, preforms, resin, regrind, etc) from staging area to required location.
  • Continually check the production lines to ensure that each has all necessary amounts of the correct raw materials to support production.
  • Ensure staging areas are properly organized & maintained
  • Verify pallets are completed to the correct pack-out before moving from production line.
  • Properly labels boxes and pallets per work instructions
  • Move finished product to wrapping staging area.
  • Document required information on reports & forms such as the resin, colorant, regrind and preform pack ID's.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory; counts partials & returning inventory items
  • Wraps materials and records movement using ERP system
  • Perform product quality inspections as required or requested by the Supervisor or Lead
  • Communicate any issues or quality concerns related to the product to co-workers, Lead, Process techs or shift change co-workers.
  • Ensure vacuum hoses are in the resin properly in order to draw up material into the dryers.
  • Adjust resin in bag and/or Gaylord to allow the wand to draw up resin properly.
  • Start and stop injection molding machines and conveyors as needed.
  • Assist the Process Technicians as required for material handling process.
  • Remove & count scrap from the machines and input data into proper categories.
  • Removing and weighing purging from the injection machines and record on the scrap form.
  • Sort, fold & store the resin bags per specifications.
  • Moves trash, recyclable materials and pallets to designated locations
  • Sweeps working areas & maintains housekeeping
  • Relieves operators for breaks & lunch as directed by the Supervisor or Lead.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, set priorities, identify and address problems, and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • English skills must be proficient to read, write and communicate.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Must be committed to the success of the entire organization.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to push, pull, twist, climb, balance, stoop, kneel and crawl.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive motions such as reaching and grasping.
  • Must be able to perform overhead reaching to stack / unstack boxes.
  • Fast paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
  • Work environment is in a warehouse and temperatures inside vary between hot or cold based on the outside conditions.

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Pallet jack experience preferred.
  • Mechanical ability is a plus!
