Salary: $26 - 55 per hour (DOE) + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Injection Molding Maintenance Technician. This role is crucial for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on all plastic injection molding presses, automation, and auxiliary equipment. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on problem-solver with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. You will play a key role in minimizing downtime and supporting our production goals in a fast-paced environment.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on plastic injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment, including robotics, thermolators, chillers, and material handling systems.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and maintain production.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address machine alarms, resolve quality issues, and optimize process parameters for efficiency.
  • Perform routine maintenance on molds, including disassembly, cleaning, and repair. Assist with mold changes and setups.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, including work orders, machine logs, and preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout procedures, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and overall operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent; an Associate's Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electro-Mechanical Technology, or a related field is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a maintenance technician in a plastic manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
  • Experience with basic machine shop operations (e.g., lathes, mills, grinders) and a variety of hand and power tools.
  • Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) programming and troubleshooting is a significant plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently and under pressure.
