Job description

Cybersecurity Engineer

The Opportunity:

As a cyber mission specialist, you understand the value of hunt-forward operations, and you know that battles are won in the grey. At Booz Allen, you can use your cyberspace operations experience to create solutions that will be executed on a worldwide stage. We're looking for an experienced cyber mission specialist like you to apply your Risk Management Framework(RMF)knowledge for the Air Force and Space Force.

In this role, you'll be counted on to understand cyberspace capabilities to evaluate potential weaknesses, as well as the effectiveness of mitigations for cybersecurity solutions. You will leverage your cybersecurity expertise to harden systems, conduct vulnerability assessments, and bolster the organization's security posture.

This is an opportunity to use your experience to assess the entire threat landscape. You'll guide your client through a plan of action with presentations, white papers, and milestones. You'll work with your client to translate security concepts so they can make the best decisions to secure their mission-critical systems and critical infrastructure. This is your opportunity to act as an information security subject matter expert while broadening your skills in cybersecurity and RMF.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience with cybersecurity or information assurance

  • Experience with RMF, NIST 800-53 controls, and DoD cybersecuritypolicies

  • Top Secret clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

  • Security+ Certification

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience preparing and maintaining Authorization to Operate(ATO) packages

  • Experience conducting security assessments, documenting actions, and validating accreditation under RMF

  • Experience as an ISSO

  • Experience with eMASS or Xacta

  • Bachelor's degree

  • DoD 8140 IAM Level III Certification

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information;Top Secret clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,800.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
